Using the Research Tool

There’s no need to keep switching back and forth from Google search while you’re working on a document or presentation.

Use the Tools menu to open the Research Tool, and search Google without ever having to leave your document or break your train of thought.

With the research tool you can search for the relevant content such as text, images, maps and so on to improve your document. The research tool effectively acts as an extension of Google Search, allowing you to you navigate the web without taking your attention away from the document you are composing.

The research tool is particularly handy when you want to cite the sources of your information. With just a click you can introduce a nicely formatted citation, directly into your document, improving the credibility of your information while making clear that your data that has come from an external source.
