Google Search has a useful little tool in its toolbox that’s often overlooked. Provided that you’re searching for results in English, you can search for results corresponding to your level of reading ability.
Start by selecting Search Tools:
Under the drop-down that defaults to All Results select Reading Level:
Now you’ll be presented with a little graph showing how the search results are distributed over Basic, Intermediate and Advanced reading material. Select the level you prefer by clicking on one of these three captions:
This can be very useful, not only for those with differing reading levels of English as a native language, but also for those learning English as a foreign language.
