You can add page numbers to a document in Google Docs. Simply use Insert > (hover over) Page number then, from the next submenu, select a location for the page numbers to be placed on the page – Top or Bottom.
The page number will appear on each page in your document:
If you wish to include the page count, use Insert > Page count. If you’ve already chosen to insert page numbers, the page count will appear next to the page number. You will perhaps want to navigate to the header or footer and type the word “of” in between the two:
If at this stage you haven’t chosen to insert page numbers, the page count will appear at the current cursor position.
