Manage Your Google Drive Storage

One of the big advantages of storing your data in the cloud, as you do with Google Drive, is that the amount of storage you have at your disposal is flexible and practically unlimited. Stick with your free allowance if it’s enough, or buy a more appropriate package when you need extra space.

Google makes it easy to keep track of your storage usage and to purchase more when necessary.

In the bottom left hand side of Google Drive, locate the little box that tells you how much storage you’ve used, and hover your cursor above the Manage link:

Now you can see at a glance which applications are sharing your storage, and how much space each application has used.

Clicking on that same Manage link opens a new tab (or window) giving more detailed information, as well as access to Google’s range of storage plans:

If you want to change your plan, select the blue Choose button for the plan that seems most appropriate. A dialog will open allowing you to make the purchase online, there and then.

Hit the right-arrow to see further plans right up to a massive 30TB of storage.
