I’ve noticed a number of people suffering confusion about the new Google Drive UI recently. Some people have been frustrated to find that their favourite features are now missing or hard to find.
One feature in particular that I’m regularly asked about is the ability to change the density of the displayed files and folders in List view. The old Drive interface had the so-called Comfortable, Cozy, and Compact view options from which you could choose the one that best suited your taste and screen size.
In the last few days, the Comfortable, Cozy, and Compact view options have returned to the Drive interface. Click the q key and then q again to cycle trough the options.
Note that these only work in List mode, not when viewing files and folders as a grid.
