Hide Weekends in Google Calendar

By default, Google shows all seven days of the week in your Google Calendar’s Weekly and Monthly views:

If you use Google Calendar in an environment that only operates Monday through Friday, you may find that displaying Saturday and Sunday just creates confusion and the potential for errors.

There’s an easy way to turn off the display of weekends. From the cog wheel button’s drop-down menu choose Settings. Scan down to find the Show Weekends option, and change it to suit your needs:

You’ll also see that, in the adjacent setting, you can set the calendar’s default view – in my example it’s set to Month.

Don’t forget to save your changes. Here’s the same calendar with the weekends eliminated:

Note that changing this setting affects only the Week and Month views. You’ll still see weekends displayed when you’re viewing with the Agenda view or the Custom view (irrespective of the setting you’ve chosen for the Custom view).
