Sometimes when you’re busy, and you need to create something in Google Drive, it can seem like a hassle to navigate to your Google Drive account and risk losing your train of thought.
You can save yourself that effort by putting a quick-create button for Google Docs right into your browser as an extension. Simply install the Google Drive Quick Create extension for Chrome.
The extension adds a button to the browser’s toolbar offering commands for starting new spreadsheets, documents, presentations and drawings:
Just click on the toolbar icon to open the drop-down menu, and select the type of file you want to create. Your new document will open in a separate browser tab.
Don’t forget that while your new document is open you can easily move it to your choice of folder as described in this post.
