You’re probably aware of Google’s ability to give definitions for words by using the define: prefix in the search bar:
It’s possible, though, that you haven’t noticed the down-arrow below the definition box, with the caption translations, word origin, and more definitions.
Click on that link to open a further information panel. In it, you’ll find more information about the linguistic and geographic background of the word, how its usage has changed over time, and even the opportunity to translate the word into a language of your choice.
