There are so many keyboard shortcuts in Google Drive that most people haven’t a hope of memorizing them all. That’s usually OK – you probably only ever use a few of those available, and can remember what they are – but occasionally it’s nice to have a quick reference to the others.
To access a complete list, the only shortcut you need to remember is Ctrl along with forward slash /. That key combination will opo open a reference of all the shortcuts available.
Here’s what it looks like on my machine when opened in a Docs document:
Remember that this facility is context-dependent – if I use the same Ctrl – / combination in my Drive homepage or a directory listing, I get this:
Move to the new version of Drive, and the Ctrl-/ popup changes again to incorporate the new shortcuts for the new Google Drive layout:
This time it’s a scrollable dialog – make sure you scroll down to see all the entries. This can be especially useful if you’re still getting accustomed to the new layout. (e.g. can’t find how to use Compact layout for file listings? q and then q again cycles through the densities).
Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Drawings and Forms each have their own popup dialog using the same Ctrl-/ key combo.
