Adding Additional Calendars to Google Calendar

Google supplies several methods by which you can integrate external calendars – or the events they contain – into your Google Calendar display. Click the down-arrow next to Other Calendars to see the options:

Add a friend’s calendar opens a dialog asking for your friend’s email address. If they have shared their calendar with you, it will become available to you; whether you can add or edit entries, or just view them, will depend on the share settings:

Browse Interesting calendars opens a browser tab that offers a number of calendars to which you can subscribe. These are split into Holidays, Sports and More via the links above the list:

Add by URL lets you enter the web address of any calendar that’s in Apple’s iCal format:

Finally, Import calendar imports event information into your chosen calendar, rather than adding the external calendar itself. You can import events from iCal or CSV sources:

You can customize the display colours of your calendars by clicking the down-arrow next to a calendar name, to easily distinguish between them:
